Christmas Tags

I had the opportunity to get together with one of my stamping clubs last Friday. Instead of learning new techniques, they were interested in just cranking out a bunch of gift tags.

The 3" x 3" cards are perfect for tags! So I used the Perfect Presentations hostess stamp set, and came up with 6 different designs, simple enough to make quickly. In addition to that I let them use any other stamps I had with me (and some brought their own) and they just stamped, punched, and now they are all set with gift tags!

Die Cut Stamps

I have to say - I LOVE Die Cut Rubber Stamps! If you haven't heard by now, ALL of the stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog (available September 1st) are already cut out for you! For those of you who don't really like to cut out your stamp images, these stamp sets are for YOU!

How exciting! You can see how closely they are cut to the images, just pop them out and mount them on to the wood. Save your fingers  and put your stamps together in no time at all!

The question now is...what do you do with all the left over rubber pieces? You may be able to see from the picture the little corner marks. You could cut those off and mount them to use them for corners. You can also cut the rest of the rubber to make your own "mosaic" stamp - or use them just for "dimensionals" if you want to.

So many ways to use it! Remember, you don't have to live in Rhode Island, or Southern New England to purchase stamp sets or take advantage of my specials...just send an email or call 401-921-0486 and I'll take care of you!

Ryan's First Card

OK...I admit I had to help a "little" with this card. Honestly? He was helping by taking his nap a little longer so I could finish it! Today was my hubby's birthday, and we surprised him at work with a couple of balloons and this card from Ryan. I pushed him into the Post Office in his little stroller with the balloons tied to it and Ryan holding the card and the ends of the balloon strings. So Cute!

So here's the card - I used Perfect Party, which is retired, but it's such a cute set - and it worked for this card! The new tool I DID use is the Perfect Layers Tool! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS TOOL - GET IT! It's incredible! Talk about VERY easy to use, and it really did create the PERFECT LAYER! Woo Hoo! I don't know why I put off getting it for so long!

A Beautiful Day for a Wedding!

I'm attending the wedding of a friend I used to work with today. She couldn't have picked a more beautiful day! Actually, she got REALLY lucky - it's like Fall this weekend, rather than HOT HOT August! So while Ryan was sleeping in this morning (Woo Hoo!) I made her card. (I'm sure she's not reading my blog today - I think she has too much else to do.)

Anyway - I thought I'd share the card with you. I used the "It All Adds Up" stamp set that I received as an award last year. I've actually never used it until today - it wasn't really my style! BUT, I'm so pleased with how this card came out - simple and sweet! :)

What do you think? Click if you want to see the products I used. I didn't use the entire "boy/girl" stamp, I colored the parts I wanted with Stampin' Write Markers and made my own design. Just a plug for the markers - they are GREAT to have when you want to create your own thing!

Shabby Chic

Just posting a card I'm using for tonight's workshop. Can you say - patterns galore? I love that our patterned paper, stamp sets, and colors all match! It makes it SOOO easy to create the Shabby Chic look! (I'll have the products I used for the card posted later.)

Just Stamping...

I wish I could take credit for this beautiful card design, but I copied the idea from "cookiestamper" on Splitcoast. It's a fun way to use the Word by Word background stamp! By using the Stampin' Markers, I can omit anything I don't want on the stamp and the result is shown below! (Click for products used.)

I can't believe it! The CRUISE is HERE!

I'm SOOO excited to go! I'm a little anxious too. We haven't traveled with Ryan like this before, I just don't know what to expect! Yes, he's little and portable, but I was always the person who DREADED sitting on the plane in front of fussy kids! EEEEK! (Especially since we have a 6 hour flight from Philly to San Diego!) Oh well...nothing we can do but hope for the best!

Before I leave, I thought I'd share some great cards with you - just to inspire your creativity. I hope you enjoy them!

I LOVE the colors of this card together! I used Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand. Sahara Sand is the kind of color that almost changes when you put it with different colors. It looks perfect with the Plum! This card would also be perfect as a Mother's Day card! Just change the greeting and you are good to go!

How fun is this card? The Year Round Fun stamp set has so many small stamps, it's hard to know what to do with them! So, I stamped them in between the diamonds from the Print Pattern background set and then used Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens to color them. So cute - and fun to put together too!

Well...gotta go and get the last of my packing done - don't want to miss the boat!
