Omitting Parts of your Stamp Images
For those of you who can't wait for "Thank you Thursday" - I've taken a break this week...to bring you this gorgeous card! (If I do say so myself!)
First, I've already said that I love the colors, so I won't go on and on about them. For the edge, I used the vine-like stamp from Fresh Cuts on Whisper White card stock and then punched it with the Scallop Edge Punch. After that I used a Sponge Dauber and Baja Breeze Ink to give it some more color.
The "My Dear Friend" stamp image is actually part of the All Holidays stamp set - only I chose to use some of the words from the "My Dear Kind and Wonderful Friend" stamp! How? With the brush ends of my Stampin' Write Markers! (And a Stamp-a-ma-Jig!)
I love doing this - just coloring right on the stamp where I want the ink to be, and leaving the rest blank. I did this twice actually. If you look at the closeup, you can see that I stamped in Certainly Celery, then again in Old Olive. I wanted a little more dimension. (Though if you look at it long enough, it looks blurred!)
Last, I added the ribbon with the hat pin and beads from the Pretties Kit. What do you think?
