Can you believe that all of these pages are from the SAME catalog? Did you know that there's actually groups that follow color trends? Stampin' Up! is on the cutting edge of color trends as well and is very involved with these groups.
So I chose this page because I love all the bright colors in the bedding. For my card, I decided to use Summer Sun, Wild Wasabi, Ballet Blue, and Pink Passion. Yes, I know I strayed outside of the "Color Family" lines, but I felt like being daring! hehe
I needed to make a Sympathy/Thinking of You card for a friend whose husband passed away. I don't know about you, but I think that most sympathy cards are too depressing and dull, and sending something that's a little more cheerful is appreciated more. (Just my opinion...)
So here it is...what do you think?
In addition to the colors, I also used my Polka Dot background stamp - notice the polka dots on the pillows? I also used the Wild Wasabi Striped ribbon (which I LOVE, by the way) to copy the dust ruffle. If you can believe it, this was the FIRST time I've used something from the Pretties kit! Can you believe that it took this long to get one? SO easy to use my markers and color the flowers to match.
Wow,love all the cool cards you made with the color combos from the catalog. Guess I need to get more "inspired" more often!
